Adopt a Cat

Why Adopt?

At The Cataloger, we believe that adoption is a life-changing act of love—for both you and the cat. Our work focuses on rescuing cats in life-threatening situations, rehabilitating them, and finding them safe, loving homes. Adoption is not the solution to the stray cat population crisis, but in cases where cats are in immediate danger, it becomes a crucial step to offer them a better future.

By adopting, you’re not just gaining a furry friend; you’re giving a second chance to a life that truly needs it. And trust us, these cats will thank you every day in their own special way—whether through cuddles, playful antics, or simply the calm presence of a grateful companion.

Sol

🗓️ Age: ~6 months
📍 Location: Berlin, Germany

Rescued due to his high risk of developing skin cancer as a fully white cat in Greece. Friendly, independent, and dog-friendly. Looking for a home where he can thrive safely indoors or in a shaded outdoor space.

More about Sol:

✓ Vaccinated (Rabies and FVRCPC 4-in-1)

✓ Neutered.

✓ Treated for internal and external parasites.

✓ Microchipped.

✓ With a valid EU passport.

Lala & Riri

🗓️ Age: ~6 months
📍 Location: Berlin, Germany
🩺 Health Condition: FeLV+ Sisters

Rescued with severe cat flu, both lost an eye but are otherwise healthy and playful. FeLV+ status means they need a cat-free home or a home with another FeLV+ cat. Sweet, affectionate, and bonded; they must be adopted together.

  • We aim to ensure that every adoption is a perfect match. Here’s how it works:

    1. Get in Touch

    2. Tell Us About Yourself

    3. Meet the Cats

    4. Adoption Agreement

For a forever family, all ongoing costs (food, care, and vet visits) will be the responsibility of the adopter.

  • If you’re unable to adopt, we are also searching for someone willing to foster them for a limited time (upon agreement).

    • What We Provide for Fostering:

      • Food and veterinary care (with prior approval).

      • Support and guidance during the fostering period.

    • Foster’s Role:

      • Host potential adoptive families for meetings and care for the cat during the agreed fostering period. Ensure the cat is well-fed, comfortable, and receives any necessary care. Maintain communication with us regarding the cat's well-being and progress.

Our Adoption Process

We aim to ensure that every adoption is a perfect match.

Here’s how it works:

  • Browse our available cats and contact us via email.

  • We’ll ask about your home, lifestyle, and experience with cats to ensure the best fit for both you and the cat.

  • In-person visits are possible in Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg) starting January 27th 2025. Alternatively, we can arrange a video call.

  • Once you decide to adopt, we’ll finalize the process with an adoption contract. An adoption fee will be required to cover veterinary and transportation costs and ensure commitment.
